About Mahakal Bhairav Care Foundation — Mission, Trustees & Legal Status

Mahakal Bhairav Care Foundation — a Section-8 nonprofit based in Nokha, Bikaner. Founded by trustees Om Prakash and Pankaj Sharma, our work promotes art, sport, education, research, social welfare, charity and environmental protection.

Who We Are

Mahakal Bhairav Care Foundation is a community-focused non-profit organisation formed to improve lives in our region through sustainable, people-centred programs. We work at the intersection of education, health, culture and environmental protection, designing practical interventions that address immediate needs while building long-term resilience.

Our work is rooted in respect for local knowledge and dignity for each person we serve. By combining volunteer energy, local partnerships and careful stewardship of resources, we aim to create measurable improvements in the wellbeing of children, seniors and families across Nokha and nearby communities.

Our Founding & Story

Mahakal Bhairav Care Foundation was established by trustees Om Prakash and Pankaj Sharma with the explicit aim of improving lives in our region. The foundation grew from a shared belief that small, organised acts of service — when done consistently and transparently — produce lasting change. The founders brought together neighbours, volunteers and local institutions to launch early pilot projects in education support, elderly care and community health. Those early efforts shaped our current focus areas and the values that guide every program.

Our Legal Status & Registrations

As a Section-8 company, our objectives formally include promoting art, sport, education, research, social welfare, charity and protection of the environment. Our Motto & Focus Areas

Official motto: “Promote art, sport, education, research, social welfare, charity and protection of the environment.”

This motto is not a slogan — it is the compass for every project we design. Our core program areas are:

  • Education & Skill Development: School supplies, after-school study support, literacy drives and vocational skills workshops.
  • Health & Social Welfare: Health camps, medicine & hygiene drives, and support for senior care homes.
  • Environment & Sustainability: Tree planting, local cleanups and awareness campaigns for sustainable practices.
  • Art, Culture & Sport: Community arts workshops and sports activities that nurture talent and build social cohesion.
  • Research & Advocacy: Local research projects to better understand needs and improve program design.

Each program is designed to be practical, replicable and measurable so we can learn and improve over time.

Governance, Transparency & Accountability

Mahakal Bhairav Care Foundation is governed by its trustees and operates according to standards expected of registered charitable organisations. Trustees Om Prakash and Pankaj Sharma provide oversight of strategy, program selection and financial governance.

Our commitment to good governance includes:

  • Maintaining clear records of project budgets and expenditures.
  • Preparing program summaries and donor receipts on request.
  • Operating on a no-dividend principle in line with Section-8 requirements (all surplus funds are used to further charitable objectives).
  • Working with local partners and volunteers and documenting outcomes to ensure programs are effective and ethical.

If you would like copies of reports, program budgets or audited statements (when available), please request them at Contact@mkbfoundation.org.in.

Trustees

  • Om Prakash — Trustee
  • Pankaj Sharma — Trustee

Both trustees play an active role in directing the foundation’s strategy, liaising with partners, supervising program delivery and ensuring that decisions are made in the best interest of beneficiaries and the community.

Where We Work

Our registered office is in Ward No. 7, Kanpura Bas, Nokha, Bikaner, Rajasthan – 334803, and our projects currently focus on Nokha and surrounding communities in Bikaner district. Program locations depend on local needs, partner availability and operational planning; each project is chosen to maximize positive outcomes for the people we serve.

How We Measure Impact

We believe good intentions must be accompanied by evidence. For every project we track simple, meaningful indicators such as:

  • Number of children receiving educational support or materials.
  • Number of elderly residents reached with health and hygiene kits.
  • Volunteer hours and community participation levels.
  • Number of trees planted or environmental events conducted.
  • Feedback from partner institutions (schools, old age homes, health providers).

Program summaries and impact notes are prepared after major events and are available to donors, partners and stakeholders upon request.

How You Can Support

There are several ways to get involved:

  • Donate: Financial support makes our programs possible (donation details available on our Donate page).
  • Volunteer: Offer your skills and time for teaching, events, health camps and tree-planting drives.
  • Partner: Local institutions, businesses and civic groups can collaborate on shared initiatives.
  • Spread the word: Help us reach more supporters by sharing our mission with friends and networks.
